North Yorkshire local assistance fund

The fund has been established from 1 April 2013 to help vulnerable adults to move into or remain in the community and families under exceptional pressure to stay together. Awards will be goods in kind, not cash, and will not have to be repaid.

 

The vulnerabilities the fund supports are:

  • Homelessness;
  • Learning disabilities;
  • Physical disabilities;
  • Mental health problems;
  • Recently released from prison;
  • Domestic abuse;
  • Carer;
  • Drugs or alcohol dependency; and
  • Families under exceptional pressure.

 

Applications can only be made by agencies who specialise in these vulnerabilities and who have been nominated by the fund.
